Vision & Goals

Hi friends!

For me, there’s something really special about the beginning of a new year. It’s a time of reflection, of gratitude, and of visualization. I know that some people are really over the whole “new year new you” type of mindset, and I couldn’t agree more. So I don’t want you to get this confused. The beginning of the new year doesn’t mean you morf into some different version of yourself and magically change all of your bad habits.

The way I look at it is very different.

It’s simply the time of year where I personally choose to reflect on the year prior, set new goals, tune in with my inner self and desires, and visualize what I’d like to accomplish in the coming months. You could do this anytime of year, but for some reason January just feels fitting.

Ever since I was a kid, visualization and goal setting has been a big part of my journey. I remember sitting down at the family dinner table and writing my goals for the next year on an index card. I’m pretty sure I even used colored pencils to make it look “cute.”

Well, every single year - what I have truly put into my forefront has become my reality. Sometimes I come up with goals that seem INSANE, as in truly impossible - but somehow, they happen. This is the power of visualization and tuning-in.

To give you an example, I’ll share a story.

Two years ago, in January of 2018, I was doing my annual “Vision & Goals” practice, and during my visualization exercise I saw a restaurant. Not just any restaurant - but it was my restaurant. A restaurant where all of my truths and purposes collided. I saw it, I felt it, I wrote about it, and then I spoke about it with someone who was in the class. I remember thinking “This is just weird.” I never knew I wanted a restaurant, at least not at this time in my life. But somehow during that experience I was able to tap into some dreams that I didn’t know existed. After this practice was over, I told ONE PERSON that I would open a restaurant in 2019. I didn’t know where, I didn’t know what it would be called, I didn’t know what style of food, all I knew is that it was going to be something I focused my intentions on.

Fast forward to my goal setting practice of 2019. I had completely forgotten what I had written about in 2018, so I decided to find my journal and check in with my goals. As I opened the pages, I saw “Open a restaurant in 2019.” I was in utter shock. Here I was, in January of 2019, just having signed a lease and hired a contractor for this restaurant that I had visualized about in 2018 and then completely forgotten about.

Once again, I was shown the power of visualization, meditation, and goal setting. Maybe it was a coincidence, maybe it wasn’t.

Although this was just one example of how my practice of “Vision & Goals” has come to shape my current reality, I assure you there are more, many more. This practice has become a big part of me, a big part of how I work with clients, and a big part of all of my businesses. Needless to say, teaching and leading this process is something I look forward to every year. This class might just be my favorite experience of the year.

So, whether you are a traditional goal-setter or not, I encourage you to give this class a try. It might just be the thing that opens a new door for you, and I would be honored to share this experience with you.
